Revive, Reset, Renew…

If I’m being honest, I have to say that I highly debated my return to Lifestyle Counter after all this time (which is why it ended up taking up twice as long as it would have, under different circumstances). Eventually, it was the fact that this space is too much of a labor of love (with too long and complex a history) to just give up on… So, I’m back with the best of intentions but, I am afraid, no promises… Two years is a long time and I feel a little out of touch – and lost as to what I really want this to be. I believe that way too much is being said on every single issue, absolutely everywhere (everyone seems to be a blogger and/ or influencer these days) – so I am not quite certain as to what (if anything) worth mentioning is still left unsaid. The question of what my exact niche will be moving forward (or, indeed, if there will even be one) is one I will not tackle …

Premio Dardos Award

I’m ridiculously behind, and absolutely need to catch up, on award posts – so today will be another one. About a month ago (on the 10th of March, to be exact) I was nominated for the Premio Dardos award by Jenna from Julla. If you still don’t know who she is, go check out her blog now and show her some love! Premio Dardos, which apparently means ‘prize darts’ in Spanish and which I’d never heard of before, is awarded ‘in recognition of cultural, ethical, literary and personal values – transmitted in the form of creative and original writing’. Goes without saying that, despite feeling like I don’t quite deserve this, I am hugely honored to receive it. Thanks a million Jenna, for considering me when choosing your nominees! When in a rut…

First of all, please allow me to apologise for the minor interruption in access to Lifestyle Counter, earlier today. What happened (as it often does) was that I kind of, slowly but steadily, grew tired of my old template and started feeling like a change. I hope you like the new layout (there’s probably still gonna be some tweaking here and there, but you get the general idea). Let me know if you believe the design leap of faith to have been a succesful one – or if you’d rather I’d let sleeping dogs lie and stuck with my old design. I’d also welcome any suggestions for improvement or ideas you might have to make the “new” Lifestyle Counter better, so do tell me all about them in the comments below.

On Feb. 22 I was kindly nominated for the Creative Blogger Award, by the lovely Jaanethough from Singapore!
