Latest & Greatest: Favorite Mobile Apps…

OK, “latest” is probably a bit of a stretch here – I’ll give you that. Some of these have been around for a long time. That said, my personal obsession with them is brand new, thus the title of this post… So, without further ado, here’s the 3 mobile apps I’ve been tapping away at the most, these past couple of weeks: DAYLIO (for Android and iOS) I’ve always liked the idea of keeping a daily diary, but have never managed to come to terms with theĀ  effort involved in recording proper entries every- single- day (!!). Best intentions an’ all that… Then, I accidentally bumped into this. Officially branded a “mood tracker and micro diary”, it offers exactly what I need – a hassle free, customizable and really fun way to record your daily life (in 60” tops/ day). Plus, it offers interesting statistics and insights (that might be especially useful for people struggling with mild depression and/ or mood swings). I love the monthly mood chart and calendar mode and have not skipped …

The MONSTER post (a.k.a. “Blame” it on the LWW)

One of the many blogs I follow is Gloria’s ‘Little White Whale’ and it’s on it that I’ll “blame” today’s post. You see, Gloria has come up with a great idea for when you are in a rut re: what to blog about. You just visit the random blog ideas generator and… shazam – you’ve got yourself a post of the day! Being the kind of girl that uses her tech for virtually everything, I always enjoy discovering new (or older) apps that will make my life easier/ more interesting -so I thought this would actually make for a great post. I can only hope that, after reading (all of) this, you will agree… So here’s my current loves, app- wise: Productivity/ Connectivity Gmail: Up until recently I was using my phone’s built-in mail app to manage my accounts. Having three of them, however, I found that to be counter-intuitive and slightly frustrating at times. Enter Gmail’s, relatively recent, android app. Featuring a minimal and modern design, this works like a charm and has made …

Android App Alert

Just a quick post to let all of you guys know that, as of 12 days ago, Polyvore is finally available on Android! I only realised today when, upon visiting the website (from my tablet) I was prompted to visit Goggle Play and download the app. So, heads up: if you are anything like me and frequently use the service to create collages for your blog – you’ll rejoice at the news!

Yoga versus the Galaxy

There is a long list of beauty, fashion & tech items that will make it into my Christmas 2013 Wishlist (& you’ll get to see them soon, since there will be a relevant post at a later date). If however I had to chose one single item, right now, that would definitely have to be a tablet. My tech-y self has resisted the trend for far too long and now absolutely needs to give in… Problem is I cannot seem to decide whether I should follow my gut instinct and go with the Lenovo Yoga tablet 10 (which I recently came across online and immediately fell in love with) or play it safe (?) with a good oldĀ Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. VERSUS Reviews are mixed, with some singing Lenovo’s praises and others claiming you’re much better off steering clear of the company’s latest offering. Now, I’ve never been a huge fan of Samsung (despite the rave these last couple of years) and also have to admit that the Yoga tablet’s sleek and clever design …
