First Impressions:
I was, initially, very excited to get this and I could hardly wait to try it out today. Then I made the mistake of checking out a couple of reviews online and… started worrying. They were a bit of a mixed bag, with some loving the polish and some others hating it. I also came across a few people saying how they considered this to be sub-par for Essie, as it was too thick and chunky making it almost impossible to apply. For a second there I thought I might have wasted my money… Having now tried Toggle to the Top (and given the fact that I am no professional when it comes to manicure) I know I needn’t have worried. Despite the glitter in it, the polish was fluid enough and the color glided on perfectly. It dried really quick too, which I have to admit surprised me a bit – since, due to its texture, I was kind of expecting it to take forever to set. You could probably get away with one coat, but I used two just to make sure my mani lasts the week (if you wanna see how this held up, remember to check out the durability update next Sunday). All in all, I am loving the result! A gorgeous, dark, garnet color with just the right amount of sparkle for the pre- holiday period. Thumbs up to Essie for doing it again. I am sure to use the life out of this and would not think twice about recommending it to a friend…
What a lovely manicure, perfect for the festive season. Loving your blog by the way, your reviews are great. x
Thanks for dropping by! Glad you like the blog, yours looks pretty amazing, too! XOXO
Awh thank you. I have followed you now, not sure why it didn’t work earlier. Will blame my phone for being temperamental xx
