Fancy a Resort Fling?

I know I do! Essie’s 2014 Resort Collection is out and with a total of four gorgeous shades -there’s something there to intrigue everyone: The collection includes 3 pastels and one dark shade: – Cocktails & Coconuts (described as a ‘subtle, shimmering warm sand’) – Find me an Oasis (described as a ‘refreshing ice blue’) – Resort Fling (described as an ‘alluring coral peach’) – Under the twilight (described as a ‘provacative smokey plum’)I am personally beyond obsessed with the last two which, unless I somehow manage to snatch the 4 piece Resort Mini Cube online, I am going to try and get in-store tomorrow. All purchases will, of course, be featured on ‘Sunday Manicure’ ASAP,  so stay tuned…

Clinique & Body Shop Haul

Going through my HTC gallery yesterday, I realized how I had all those photos of recent beauty buys ready for their relevant posts – but had yet to actually publish any of them (mainly due to the fact that I meant to try the products first…then got slightly side-tracked). It was most definitely time for some of them to ‘feel the love’, so here’s my ‘Clinique & Body Shop Haul’ (aka.Haul no.1). Above, from left to right: Lancome – ‘La Vie Est Belle’ & YSL – ‘La Nuit De L’Homme’ perfume samples (free with purchase), The Body Shop Lip Scuff, Clinique Chubby Sticks (from top to bottom: Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in 01. Curviest Caramel, Shadow Tint for Eyes in 11. Portly Plum & 06. Mighty Moss), The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lip Balm The two free samples are unfortunately not to my liking – ‘La Vie Est Belle’ especially so, since it’s very sweet (a quality which I hate in a scent). I’m more of a warm/woody/spicy smell fan, myself – so I’ll be …

Sunday Manicure (Vol.12)

On Saturday morning @ 10.30 I had an appointment at the hair salon -to give my short do a refresh cut & color. As I was sitting there, in between procedures, I thought about how it had been absolute ages since I’d had my nails done professionally and how I would love a sneaky Sunday Manicure week -where I’d get to show you a new color, without actually doing any of the work… My salon stocks Essie and had the Winter 2013 colors in, so that was a bit of a no- brainer. I picked out a shade and just leaned back… Products used: Essie ‘First Base’ Base Coat 15.00€ Essie no. 853, ‘Mind Your Mittens’ 12.50€ Essie ‘Good to Go’ Top Coat 15.00€ First Impressions: Since my approach to this wasn’t really “hands on’, I can’t say too much. The color did apply real well (as Essie’s usually do, so no surprises there…). The end result you see required two coats, plus topcoat. I found the color a bit hard to picture here. When …

Seven Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag

A couple of days ago I was tagged, by the lovely Ginger (of Ginger Loves Makeup), to answer the ‘Seven Deadly Sins of Makeup’ questions. First of all a big thank you to Ginger, for enjoying my blog/ writing enough to wanna include me in this (Thanks sweetie! I really appreciate it). And now…let’s get cracking on the actual tag questions: Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item? If perfume counts, that would have to be my Tom Ford ‘Black Orchid’ (@ a whopping 54€ for the 30ml bottle, it ranks as the most expensive perfume I have ever bought). If not, however, I guess I’d have to go with one of my latest buys – the large Benefit Porefessional primer (44ml @ 45€). Wrath: What item do you have a strong love/hate relationship with? Currently that would have to be my Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tints. I absolutely love their lip counterparts and had really great expectations going in, on account of that (plus all the positive beauty blogger feedback). Still feel like I should love …
