New Kid on the Beauty Block…

Above, from left to right: Magnetic Eye Color Pencil in Twilight, Magnetic Eye Color Pencil in Angel, Lip/ Cheek Pencil in Mystic, Lip/ Cheek Pencil in SinA couple of days ago I was introduced to new cosmetics’ label: Nudestix (through a relative EssieButton post). The ‘your skin/eyes/ lips but better’ trend has always been a favorite of mine – so I was quick to visit the brand’s website and check out its current offerings. I wasn’t too excited over the mascara (how many tubes can a girl really own?) or multi- purpose eye pencils (bit too nude for my liking) and I’m not sure I’d be much interested in the concealer, either. That said, I love the ‘Magnetic Eye Color’ pencils, which I’ll promptly be ordering in ‘Twilight’ and ‘Angel’ and the dual- purpose Lip/ Cheek pencils in ‘Mystic’ and ‘Sin’ – for day and night respectively… All of the above products retail at £24.00 each and can be ordered online, via Space.NK.

Android App Alert

Just a quick post to let all of you guys know that, as of 12 days ago, Polyvore is finally available on Android! I only realised today when, upon visiting the website (from my tablet) I was prompted to visit Goggle Play and download the app. So, heads up: if you are anything like me and frequently use the service to create collages for your blog – you’ll rejoice at the news!

Beauty Obsession of the Day

Marc Jacobs is generally not a (beauty) brand I’m that interested in but, ever since I first saw this a few months back I have been beyond obsessed. With three (gorgeous) mattes & four shimmers, packed in an ultra glossy & sleek packaging – how could I not be? Mentions and reviews by fav bloggers such as Vivianna Does Makeup & EssieButton certainly haven’t helped much, either. Unfortunately, Sephora does not ship to Greece and  I have yet to find an e-shop that does. Any suggestions?

Pick Your Five: Queued to View

Those of you who know me, know I am really not a big TV fan. That said, I do enjoy a bit of good drama and/ or comedy and have been known to occasionally spend hours in front of the screen, in DVD series marathon weekends… In a bit of an odd post, today I’d like to share with you five, relatively new, TV series that have caught my attention and found their way onto my to-watch list – namely: I’ve always loved the story of these amorous ruffians (and the 1930’s vibe, in general) so I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy this mini-series. The UK DVD version was released on May 19th – retails for £18.81 and is already on my Amazon wish list. This is one I keep hearing raves about and – given the fact that I’ve always loved Woody Harrelson – simply do not intend to miss. Matthew McConaughey is a welcome addition ‘since, despite the fact that I do not particularly like him, I have to admit his acting has matured …

Sunday Manicure (Vol.21)

Essie Products used: ‘First Base’ Base Coat 15.00€ No. 859, ‘Under the Twilight’ 12.50€ ‘Good to Go’ Top Coat 15.00€ Part of the 2014 Resort collection, ‘Under the Twilight’ which is being marketed as a “provocative smoky plum” is a dark, aubergine- like purple creme (sincere apologies for it looking blue in the photo, the shade is real tough to picture). The formula is FANTASTIC: extra smooth and extremely pigmented (looking at the rich, fully opaque color I was tempted to screw the lid back on after the 1st coat). All in all a very chic, albeit not extremely original and very none- resort like, shade which I would still recommend to anyone who likes dark, goth- looking colors. Buy now, enjoy in the Fall – I say…
