Interiors > Open-Layout Apartment in Saint Petersburg

I’m loving everything about this, relatively small, apartment in St. Petersburg. The wooden details (especially that living room partition), earthy colors, clean lines and black & white accents are right up my alley. Plus, how about that bedroom? The bed panelling and light- flooded corner office space are to die for! If anything, I might have opted for plain white marble in the kitchen and bathroom instead but, overall, I find this to be a gorgeously designed space I’d most happily move into in a heartbeat (provided the usual sub-zero Russian temperatures were not in play, that is…). January | Beauty Wishlist

I don’t know about you guys but I keep jotting down lists of things I want to buy/try, then get totally swept away by the constant flow of beauty products and somehow always end up purchasing a whole lot of unrelated (albeit still exciting) items instead. So… In an effort to better focus my spending (not to mention have new and “relevant” products to share with you all) I thought I’d start publishing a monthly ‘Beauty Wishlist’. Around the end of each month I will post a list of all the products that caught my eye during its course – then make a point of actually purchasing/ reviewing things off that list, instead of off every actual and/or virtual beauty nook and cranny (like I currently do). Knowing me there will always be the odd, irrelevant purchase but I am kind of hoping to get myself “streamlined” into buying more of what I really want to try instead of the gazillion-th rosy lipstick or nude eye-shadow. Here’s the list for January (see above): 1. Clinique, …

Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘Désir De Jour’ Favs

Above (Clockwise): Ombres De Jours Couture Palette Collector, Rouge Volupté Shine No. 28 Rose Intime and No. 29 Ambre Indescent, Volupté Tint in Oil in no. 5 Cherry My Chérie and No. 6 Peach in Love, Palette Lumiere de Jour Glow Enhancing Pressed Powder, La Laque Couture in no. 59 Nuit Noire and no. 58 Nuit Blanche. I have the sneaking suspicion that this ‘Spring Collections’ thing might not bode well with my desicion to save money but, seriously, how can one resist (at least, making wishlists for) them? The YSL Désir De Jour one features too many gorgeous things not to take notice. I highly recommend checking out the full range & grabbing your favorites before they fly off the selves. I love all of the products above but, realistically, I think I’ll go for one of the Tint in Oils (no. 5 Cherry My Chérie), the two nail polishes & the darker Rouge Volupté Shine. What do you think? Already got your hands on some items (what did you think)? Planning on buying any …

Beauty Obsession of the Day…

Looks like I can’t help but be attracted to Marc Jacobs makeup. I guess it’s a good thing I have to travel to Athens, each time I fancy getting my hands on any. That said, I had been planning a little trip there anyway (probably in about a month) and these New Nude Sheer Lip Gels have just made my ‘to-buy’ list (along with my favorite Roses et Reines L’Occitane hand cream, which I’m slowly running out of & a bottle of Eau Duelle by Diptyque, which I’ve been eying since Christmas). The beauties above come in seven shades but I’m lusting over No.150 – Eat Cake (L) described as a ‘rosy nude’ and No. 110 –  Role Play (R) described as a ‘dusty rose’ (I am also currently pining for the #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder and the, slightly older, Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Waterproof Eyeliner – but that’s a story for a different day post). These little beauties (and the rest of the Spring 2015 Collection) are available now at Marc Jacobs and …

The MONSTER post (a.k.a. “Blame” it on the LWW)

One of the many blogs I follow is Gloria’s ‘Little White Whale’ and it’s on it that I’ll “blame” today’s post. You see, Gloria has come up with a great idea for when you are in a rut re: what to blog about. You just visit the random blog ideas generator and… shazam – you’ve got yourself a post of the day! Being the kind of girl that uses her tech for virtually everything, I always enjoy discovering new (or older) apps that will make my life easier/ more interesting -so I thought this would actually make for a great post. I can only hope that, after reading (all of) this, you will agree… So here’s my current loves, app- wise: Productivity/ Connectivity Gmail: Up until recently I was using my phone’s built-in mail app to manage my accounts. Having three of them, however, I found that to be counter-intuitive and slightly frustrating at times. Enter Gmail’s, relatively recent, android app. Featuring a minimal and modern design, this works like a charm and has made …
