Sephora Haul

A couple of weeks ago, I headed over to Sephora with the (very honest and very innocent) intention of buying hairspray. Then…this, somehow, happened: Above, (kinda) clockwise: Benefit ‘World Famous Neutrals’ Eye Palette & ‘The Porefessional’ Primer, L’Oreal Elnett Satin Extreme Hold Hairspray, Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara, Sephora Cotton Flower Moisturizing Hand Cream The only thing that wasn’t a complete impulse buy was the Benefit ‘Porefessional’, which I have been meaning to get for a while (and which, in my defense, was 35% off at the time). The eye palette (also at 35% off) was picked up instead of the Too Faced ‘Naked Eye’ one (which was not in stock) and has proved to be amazing and, when used with a primer, extra long-lasting. All six colors included (see below) are subtle & sultry at the same time and can easily be played down or up – for morning/ evening looks respectively. The Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara was something I kept hearing about and felt that I needed (my bottom lashes are real tiny, to …

Sunday Manicure (Vol.3)

Products used: Avon Nail Experts Revitacool Base Coat – No Longer Available Sephora Color Hit Nail Polish in no.51, Be a Rebel 5.40€ Erre Due Ceramic Top Coat 6.50€ First Impressions: This week’s nail polish is from the same Sephora line as last Sunday’s, so first impressions are pretty much similar. Application was precise and effortless (thanks to the very handy brush), the dark purple, “goth meets chic”, color glided on perfectly and dried real quick and I do believe that the overall result could very well be mistaken for a professional mani or even a shellac (thanks to the amazingly shiny, ceramic top coat by Erre Due). If last week is anything to go by, I think this will keep me happy until next Saturday – when time for the next “Sunday Manicure” comes…

Sunday Manicure (Vol.2)

Products used: Avon Nail Experts Advanced Mira- Cuticle Vanishing Complex & Avon Nail Experts Revitacool Base Coat – No Longer Available Sephora Color Hit Nail Polish in no.47, Cross the Line 5.40€ Erre Due Ceramic Top Coat 6.50€ First Impressions: I am very happy with today’s nail polish. First of all, it’s only 5.40€ (and, if you happen to get it on a special, like I did, you’ll get two for the price of one). It’s got an extremely handy brush, wide and flat (kinda like the Bourjois ones, but wider) which makes for a very precise and effortless application. The color glides on perfectly and is immediately a perfect match to what you see in the bottle  – so much so, that you could easily get away with only wearing one coat of this. The two coats I applied dried quickly enough to not drive me crazy (please note: I’m not a patient gal, so that would actually mean pretty darn quick) and the post top- coat application result leaves absolutely nothing to be …
