Stradivarius Haul

Having allocated most of my budget on beauty items lately, I recently found myself itching for a little bit of a fashion fix. Some days ago, on an impromptu visit to Stradivarius, I found a way to rectify just that. Here’s what my (dresses & accessories) haul consisted of: Stripe Print Structured Dress, 29.95€ A great little dress that can be easily worn at any point of the day. I’ve donned it both for coffee with friends and a night out – with equal success, compliment wise. Leopard Print Tube Dress, 25.95€ (now on sale for 12.99€ ) Tube dresses are not what I’d typically buy but I thought, this time, I’d go out on a limb. Haven’t really worn this yet but looking forward too. Leopard Print Dress with Zip Detail, 25.95€  (now on sale for 12.99€ ) This is gorgeous and light and easy-going and… I can’t wait to put it on and go out dancing this coming Saturday! Plain Handbag, 12.95€ One of the best, little bags I’ve ever got at a …

One of the top 5 things I’ll be checking out, next time I’m in Athens is hip, Greek jewelry label Kat Blink Jewels. Karlie Kloss for Lancaster Paris

Karlie Kloss is the face of Lancaster Paris‘ Spring 2014 campaign – in which she is seen posing around Manhattan, sporting a series of amazing bags from the French label’s range. A clever move by Lancaster, considering it’s currently trying to make a mark on the US market. Here’s some of the campaign’s shots: {All images by Guy Aroch, for Lancaster Paris/ © Lancaster Paris}

Kate Moss for Playboy (NSFW)

Playboy magazine celebrates its 60th anniversary & kicks off its New Year with the release of the highly anticipated January/February 2014 double issue, featuring Kate Moss (photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott). Here’s a (semi-censored, still over 18 only) sneak peek: Marc Jacobs has produced a numbered, limited edition set of copies, featuring an exclusive photo of Kate (to be distributed through select Marc Jacobs stores) & has also worked with Playboy to create a tribute t-shirt (available via Marc Jacobs stores & online, with all proceeds directly benefiting the American Foundation for AIDS Research). Ones to Watch: Urania Gazelli

In continuing with the theme of presenting inspiring, young  Greek creatives today’s post will be dedicated to the talented Urania Giourmetaki (aka Urania Gazelli). With studies in industrial design and a bachelor from Middlesex University of London, the 28 year old Urania started playing around with plexiglass in an effort to put a spin on the family business and ended up founding her own bag label in the spring of 2010. She has since managed to gain great numbers of dedicated fans – as well as the attention of the Italian Vogue team & Anna Wintour who, in choosing the most talented new designers, invited her to Milan back in September 2013. All pieces are lovingly hand- crafted by Urania herself (at present, as she says, her business is  “a one-woman-show”) at the family factory in Koropi, Greece and sold online via  “More is Love”. Here’s a bit of background information, by Ms. Giourmetaki herself – for the Greek speaking amongst you (unfortunately I couldn’t find a captioned version of the interview): For the rest, here’s …
