Coming Soon: YSL ‘La Laque Couture Spicy Collection’

In addition to its ‘Flower Crush’ makeup collection, set to launch in Feb. 2014, Yves Saint Laurent will soon be introducing the ‘La Laque Couture Spicy Collection’ featuring 5 new polish shades inspired by colorful spices and one golden top coat (which was released earlier, in time for the Christmas holidays, and is available to buy through YSL online). Here’s a closer look at the -gorgeous- new shades we’ll all be lusting after, come next month… From left to right: No. 47 Feuille d’Or (Top Coat) – 22.60€, No. 41 Eau de Rose, No. 42 Safran Sultan. From left to right: No. 43 Opulente Cannelle, No. 44 Ambre Gingembre, No. 46 Poivre Noir. ‘Opulente Cannelle’ and ‘Poivre Noir’ are my two favorites, with ‘Ambre Gingembre’ a close third. And, at the expected  22.60€ per bottle, I have a sneaking suspicion I might just try all of them. How about you? Looking forward to trying any of these?

Founder Katerina Kallinoglou launched the label back in 2010 and has since seen her designs featured in major fashion magazines & worn by Greek & foreign models & celebs alike. Yves Saint Laurent’s getting ready to launch its gorgeous Spring 2014 makeup range, inspired by “an arm full of roses, peonies, crocuses, hyacinths and irises”. As evident from the above shot, Cara Delevingne (model, it-girl and brand ambassador) is set to be the face of the campaign. Here’s what the upcoming collection will include (& what I am currently absolutely in love with): Limited edition, Pivoine Crush Ombrés 5 Lumières Eye Palette (in shades of fuchsia, pink, coral, black cherry and shimmery champagne). Rosy Blush Collector Face Palette (a limited edition blush and highlighter, incorporating a matte and an iridescent shade of pink). Gloss Volupté – with its cutesy lip-shaped applicator – available in four new shades (from left to right: Rose Fusion, Rose Orfèvre, Terriblement Fuchsia and Prune Organdi). Alexander Wang for Beats by Dr. Dre

In one of my fav collaborations of 2013, Beats by Dr. Dre partnered up with Alexander Wang for a three-piece exclusive, limited-edition collection which included the Beats Pill portable wireless speaker, the signature Beats Studio headphones, and the Urbeats earbuds (all in the designer’s signature pale gold and matte black), each with their own embossed glossy stingray case. The Beats Studio headphones retailed at $449, the Beats Pill portable wireless speaker at $299 and the Urbeats Earbuds at $149 – and launched in mid December. Both of the products on the “lower” end of the price spectrum are already sold out on the Beats by Dr. Dre website but will, apparently (since there is a sign up availability notification feature), become available again via the Alexander Wang webshop and may also still be available in freestanding, local stores.
