Need to be FABulous…

Look Fantastic is finally stocking First Aid Beauty products (which I’ve been extra tempted to try for quite a while now) and, of course, I couldn’t help but put together a little wishlist. Having battled with cystic acne in my mid twenties & being now faced with the left over scarring and over pigmentation (plus the odd, ol’ Vesuvius of a cyst – especially around those days of the month) two of my Top 3 products were bound to be geared towards that. Enter First Aid Beauty’s Skin Rescue Purifying Mask (29.26€): a peel-off detox formula, which promises to reduce old spot pigmentation and Skin Rescue Blemish Patrol Pads (29.26€): tea tree oil/ salicylic acid and Evermat soaked pads meant to improve skin’s texture & reduce sebum production. Recent concerns over my tired- looking, dark circle- prone eyes (and first fine lines) dictated the third and last product on my wishlist: the brand’s Eye Duty Triple Remedy (34.58€) – an innovative formula that promises to reduce dark circles, brighten the eye area, improve the appearance …

Coming Soon: Chanel Rouge Coco (2.0)

Each and every Spring I find myself lusting over all the new collections – and, with so many gorgeous new offerings popping up on my radar, 2015 is shaping up to be no exception. This year, however, I’m also eagerly anticipating the (revamped) release of an existing favorite: Rouge Coco by Chanel. According to what I’ve been reading in the press: This Spring 2015, Chanel introduces the new Rouge Coco Lipstick. The formula is entirely revamped for even more gentleness, comfort, radiance and melt-away quality. Integrating their new Hydraboost complex, the lipstick leaves lips with a supple, comfortable veil of hydration which deeply nourishes and plumps lips. The formula also allows for build able coverage, with a natural effect with just a single stroke or two strokes or more for even bolder color. The collection features 29 new shades in 6 colour palettes (Nudes, Oranges, Pinks, Rosewoods, Reds and Plums), each named after the friends, loves and muses of Mademoiselle Chanel. Now, almost all of the 29 shades are ‘oh so wearable’ and -ideally- there …

Goals (& Goal Progress Diary) for 2015

Been meaning to do this ever since the start of the new year, but it’s only now that I actually got round to sitting down and thinking about/ planning this post. Better late than never though – plus we are still only mid January, right? So… without further ado (& in no particular order), here’s my 5 (+1) goals for 2015: Last year was quite mixed, fitness and health wise. I started the year off with unnaturally high blood cholesterol levels (due to long term use of my birth control pills, as it turns out) and spent the first 5- 6 months eating healthily and exercising (mainly running on the treadmill everyday), trying to get that under control. Having managed to, though, I kinda fell off the wagon – late last summer. My running routine dwindled and I gained quite a bit of weight until the end of the year. So, 2015 has to be all about getting back to my ideal weight and an all- round healthier lifestyle. It also needs to be about …

72nd Golden Globes Awards’ Best Dressed

With the Golden Globes now all done and dusted, it’s time to have a brief look at my favorite looks of the evening. There were unfortunately way too many, unexpected fashion disasters mishaps this year (Rosamund Pike, Keira Knightley, Zosia Mamet, Tina Fey, Lena Dunham, Lana Del Rey & Tiziana Rocca being the biggest – if certainly not the only- culprits) but some amazingly elegant outfits as well. So here’s my Golden Globes’ 2015 Top Ten, in preparation for the Oscars… No. 10 No matter what she wears, Dame Helen Mirren always looks fantastic – plus, just look at that radiant face? What the heck does she do? No. 9 I thought the strapless neckline was not the most flattering for Ms. Witherspoon (and she probably would have been better off being able to walk properly) – but the dress was understated Calvin Klein perfection, so it had to make the list… No. 8 Kelly Osbourne didn’t seem to make any of the best dressed lists but I personally thought that both her stream lined, …
