It’s already been 10 minutes since I started this post and I still find myself staring at a blank screen – typing a sentence then deleting it, only to start over again (story of my life: making things way more complicated than they need to be, lol). So, I figure, keeping it simple is the only way to go here…
I know I’ve been MIA for a ridiculously long time and, to all of you faithful friends and readers, I sincerely apologize! What started out as a short, holiday blogging break was suddenly – and quite forcefully – coupled by some quite adverse, external circumstances (if you’ve been following the news, I’m sure you will have heard something about the situation in Greece these last few months) and suddenly… beauty, design and all that jazz just didn’t seem that relevant anymore. Sure, life went on, but inspiration and my mood suffered a most definite blow. Then time passed… and the more it did so the weirder it felt getting back to it all, as if nothing had happened.
Now here we are, many months later – and it’s not that things have gotten better (if anything they’ve gotten worse, since I am now looking at being unemployed and needing to relocate in a few months time) but I’ve missed Lifestyle Counter and all of you – and I feel like it’s time to get back on the saddle, while I still can.
So… any of my peeps still around, do consider me officially back and expect more of LC’s usual content in coming days, weeks and months. I can only hope you are as excited to hear from me again, as I am to be back amongst you all. Looking forward to catching up with each and every one – and sending you all my love in the meantime…
Hooray! It’s great to hear from you.
I’ve thought of you, and I’m sorry to hear that it’s been a tough time. Maybe you can write about what’s going on? Maybe it could be a helpful therapeutic release?
Miss you, and glad to touch base!
Well hello sweetheart 🙂 So nice to hear from you, too! Been ages…
Not sure all that has been going on around here would be of much interest to you guys – or indeed the nicest topic to discuss, in general. Probably better if I just stick with interesting bits and pieces – should help take my mind off things, too… Will be catching up with fav blogs during the weekend – looking forward to reading your news… XOXO
Welcome back! I’ve been wondering how things are on the ground over there? We hear some things in the news but one never knows the extent of a situation until you experience it. I know it may not be the most fun topic to discuss, but I would actually be very interested in an actual account of the current state of Greece. I know I would read it :):):)
Glad to have you back!
Gillian
Hey Gill! So good to hear from you, too 🙂 Things on the ground in Greece are not so hot right now. I’m personally also having a lot of problems with work/ finances – but, I’m afraid it’s all something I’d rather not discuss, right now. It’s just so depressing and on my mind constantly – the only place I can ‘get away’ from it, for a couple of hours, is here and I’d rather keep it that way, to be honest. Once my head clears a bit and – hopefully – the dust settles, I promise we’ll talk more about it… Looking forward to catching up!
