Pick Your Five: ZARA Special Price

Now, I need to start by saying I “blame” this purely on Mostly Me + Certain Others (#instigator). This popped up on my WordPress Reader, earlier this morning – and led to my discovering an entire “special price” section on the ZARA website (which I… 1. curiously knew nothing about, 2. promptly browsed through and 3. am now itching to buy half of …). You might wanna drop by and have a look, especially if you’re into the mood for some guilt- free, treat- yourself, pre- holiday shopping or in need of grabbing some budget gifts for family and friends (nothing I saw was priced over 30€). Meanwhile, to get you in the right frame of mind, here’s five items that took my fancy: [Images: ZARA] Advertisements

Style File: Alessandro Giada Luxury Bags

Surprise, surprise… I’ve gone and fallen in love with yet another exorbitantly expensive brand (#eyeroll). Enter Alessandro Giada Luxury Bags. Featured in Vogue, Glamour and GQ their, beautifully crafted, leather pieces are a statement blend of three of my favorite things: fashion, art and architecture.   In the company’s own words: “Each accessory is the result of study and always inspired by the art and architecture world, particularly by the Bauhaus experience, De Stijl and the works of Piet Mondrian and Le Corbusier.” In each piece color-blocking combines with geometry and a variety of textures to produce a stunning, one-of-a-kind effect. And with both edgier & more sophisticated designs, there’s something for every discerning fashionista to choose from. So, if you’re looking to invest in a top quality piece of arm candy I’d look no further. The, small but impressive, collection ships internationally (with payment handled by PayPal) and your object of desire will – according to estimates – be within your grasp (no pun intended) in no longer than 20 working days, depending on …

Style File: Club Monaco

Club Monaco is one of my favorite TB (to browse) online shops. True, it is quite expensive and I could never really afford to buy anything from there, let alone all the things I covet each time I visit – but all their designs are exactly my cup of tea (easy to wear, laid back, casual chic). Thankfully the online shop only delivers to the US and Canada, so both me and my bank balance are safe. Still I can’t help but look around and make lists of all my favorite things – if only for inspiration, in a bid to find similar, lower budget options. What do you think of my choice of dresses/ coats/ shoes & accessories, featured above? Any piece you particularly like/ think would be worth splurging on? Any ideas re: similar ‘philosophy’ brands with a more budget friendly approach? Let me know in the comments’ section…

Fashion Obsession of the Day…

I’ve always thought that Accessorize offers chic & fashionable bag options for every season and a recent visit to their store only served to confirm that. Their spring collection is just lovely and amongst all the beautiful & colorful designs I spotted this little gem. The eco- friendly ‘Georgia’ features a contemporary winged design, with carry handles, an optional cross-body strap and two interior compartments and comes in four colors (coral, green, lilac & navy). I’m personally in love with the lilac version and (at £32 = app. 39€) will certainly be picking it up before it sells out (as I’m sure it will, sooner rather than later). For those who prefer online shopping the particular model is available via the Accessorize website (which now ships to over 100 countries).
